About the Role:
The Director/Associate Vice President of Health Plan Partnerships will report to VP, Health Plan Partnerships, Matt Taylor, and help lead Carrot’s transformative impact on the legacy fertility benefits market by establishing fertility care as a key pillar of the healthcare benefits package. The products, partnerships, and services that you champion in the marketplace with Carrot will have a direct impact on easing fertility-related complexities and hardships experienced by millions of people, which have heightened during these challenging times.

Leveraging your comprehensive understanding of the healthcare payer space, you will help build a key vertical that is a crucial growth driver for the company. In this role, you will be accountable for growing Carrot’s health plan partnerships and execution. You will have a unique opportunity to shape Carrot’s product development, adoption, growth, and brand by significantly increasing Carrot’s footprint in the payer market over the next 12+ months, which is a significant contributor to our overall growth strategy.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Design and execute against the company’s strategic next step of evolution in partnering with health plans and transforming how fertility care is delivered and consumed.
  • Lead generation, proposal development, and the presales consulting necessary to sign new business.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Client Success and Product teams to ensure a seamless experience for health plans.
  • Define and support  the health plan partnerships and contribute to the sales roadmap, developing best-in-class sales processes to meet both short and long-term goals.
  • Contribute to the enhanced awareness of Carrot Fertility in the marketplace, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, and publications.
  • Remain current on industry, client, and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues in the market.
  • Serves as the Voice of the Customer (VoC) by gathering feedback from the market and stakeholders to constantly enhance product features and the consumer experience.

Your Background:

  • At least 8-10 years of health plan sales experience and is also an expert at building deep relationships with various channel partners (e.g. benefits consultants, digital health channel resellers, etc.).
  • Demonstrated success in consistently meeting/exceeding sales targets, while selling into senior health plan executives and building a strong network of channel partnerships.
  • Proven ability in building a robust pipeline of opportunities and deal closing.
  • Ability to leverage current/prior customer relationships and contacts to generate a pipeline.
  • Strong knowledge of benefit solutions, competitive landscape, and latest industry developments.

Compensation:

Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their life inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The expected base salary for this position will range from $145,000 - $200,000 Actual compensation, including any applicable bonus or variable component, may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
