Discord Community Lead

About This Role

Love sports, technology and rocket ship trajectories? PrizePicks is looking to hire an experienced and highly motivated Community Lead to oversee and help manage our very large company Discord server, which currently has over 300k members and thousands of daily active users. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sports and entertainment, and experience in Discord community management.

Responsibilities Include

• Oversee and support the PrizePicks Discord team, including moderators and sports ambassadors.

• Maintain day-to-day operations of the Discord server, ensuring it meets both Discord and PrizePicks guidelines.

• Work with the Director of Social and other community leads to ensure the best possible Discord experience for team members and users.

• Ideate strategies to increase engagement and participation within the community.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key influencers and members of the community.

• Coordinate and execute community events and initiatives, including but not limited to tournaments, giveaways, live streams, and other engagement activities.

• Analyze and report on key performance metrics to inform decisions and adjust strategies as necessary.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• Strong understanding and love for Daily Fantasy Sports and/or the General Sports Social Media, YouTube, Podcast and Content ecosystem

• Proven experience managing large and active online communities, with a focus on Discord.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with social media platforms, including but not limited to Discord, Twitter, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Positive attitude, self-starter, and willing to work nights and weekends as needed in the sports entertainment industry.
