Job Description

Team: Support

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Donor Community Advisor in the United States.

This role is a key driver of mid-level fundraising strategy, focused on cultivating meaningful relationships with a large and diverse community of donors who support grassroots organizing and progressive movements. You will manage a significant portfolio of donor households while helping design and execute multi-channel engagement strategies that deepen commitment and increase giving. The position blends relationship-building, fundraising execution, data-informed strategy, and donor education to strengthen long-term donor participation. You will collaborate closely with teams across fundraising, communications, and donor organizing to ensure consistent and impactful outreach. This is a highly relational and mission-driven role where your work directly contributes to scaling resources for social change organizations nationwide. It requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of approximately 300 donor households giving between $5,000 and $10,000 annually through personalized engagement strategies.
  • Develop and execute 1:1 and 1:many solicitation campaigns across email, phone, text, mail, and events.
  • Build and maintain strong donor relationships through regular communication, online engagement, and in-person interactions when possible.
  • Design outreach strategies for $1,000–$4,999 donors, including segmentation, messaging, and mass communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate with donor organizing teams to educate and mobilize supporters around broader movement-building initiatives.
  • Support donor events, conferences, and engagement activities to strengthen community connections and participation.
  • Track portfolio performance metrics such as renewal rates, upgrades, and donor retention, using insights to refine strategy.
  • Ensure accurate donor data management and documentation in CRM systems, maintaining data integrity and consistency.
  • Requirements:

    • 4–7 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or external-facing relationship management roles.
    • Proven experience successfully cultivating and soliciting donors at the $1,000+ giving level.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to craft compelling donor messaging.
    • Ability to manage a large portfolio with strong organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
    • Data-informed mindset with experience using analytics to guide segmentation and fundraising strategy.
    • Proficiency with CRM systems, with Salesforce experience strongly preferred.
    • Comfort working independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Passion for social impact, grassroots organizing, or progressive movement-building work.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary range: $100,000 – $120,000 annually based on experience.
      • 100% employer-paid health insurance for individuals and partial coverage for families.
      • Dental and vision insurance coverage.
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributions.
      • Generous paid time off, including 4 weeks of vacation, holidays, and office closures.
      • Paid parental leave (up to 18 weeks) and family leave benefits.
      • Wellness stipend, work-from-home stipend, and student loan repayment assistance.
      • Sabbatical program and access to professional development resources.
      • Emergency financial support and additional voluntary benefits.
