Employee Engagement Coordinator

STR is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Employee Engagement Coordinator to support new hire onboarding initiatives.
This role will ensure that new hires have a smooth transition into their role by maintaining new hire information in the HR database, providing critical information and resources before and after a new hireβs start date, managing first day orientation, gathering necessary files, and more. In addition, this role will provide partial support to Engagement Team initiatives in the areas of Events, DE&I, and Learning & Development.
This role will have the opportunity to work closely with various team leads in HR while obtaining industry insight.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, streamline, and oversee the onboarding process for new hires
- Lead HR communications with new hires from the time of hire through their first week
- Facilitate day 1 orientation for both in-person and remote new hires, welcome new hires with onboarding kits, and lead new hire office tours
- Ensure new hires have the necessary technical assistance to set up their hardware and software
- Gather and file all documents related to new hires, including offer letters, resumes, and other paperwork
- Manage outlook calendar invites for new hire orientation and activities
- Complete I-9s for all new hires, ensuring proper I-9 compliance and documentation
- Set up new hire personal and employment profiles in ADP and ensure complete and accurate new hire records
- Assist with miscellaneous Employee Engagement initiatives in Events, DE&I, and Learning & Development
Requirements
- 1-2 yearsβ experience working in an HR team or office team environment
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management or studying toward a degree in human resource management or related field
