Position Summary

Effectual Engagement Managers (EMs) are members of the Customer Experience Management (CEM) Practice within Effectual Professional Services (PS) organization responsible for ensuring that customer-facing projects are delivered in-scope, on-time and on-budget with exceptional customer satisfaction, while ensuring a positive experience for the delivery team. Effectual EMs are “Brand Ambassadors” and are expected to be advocates for achieving our customer’s defined business outcomes through the delivery of our services, leading our Professional Services software development and cloud engineering teams. EMs will also be expected to support a small portfolio of projects simultaneously without sacrificing delivery quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 Project Management and Delivery:

·        Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of client projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

·        Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables, in collaboration with project teams.

·        Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and proactively address any issues or deviations from the project plan.

·        Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering collaboration and effective communication among team members.

·        Ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and client expectations.

Client Relationship Management:

·        Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and collaboration.

·        Understand client objectives, requirements, and expectations, and translate them into actionable project plans and deliverables.

·        Regularly communicate with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Identify opportunities for additional services or upselling, collaborating with the sales team to drive business growth and maximize client value.

·        Foster long-term partnerships with clients, seeking opportunities for repeat business and referrals.

Business Development:

·        Contribute to the development of sales strategies and participate in the proposal and bid management process.

·        Collaborate with the sales team to identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential client accounts.

·        Leverage industry knowledge and expertise to understand client needs and propose innovative solutions that align with their goals.

·        Conduct client presentations, participate in sales meetings, and represent the organization at industry events to promote our professional services offerings.

·        Continuously assess market trends and competitor activities, providing insights and recommendations to drive business growth.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

·        Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to team members, facilitating their professional development and growth.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical teams, to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.

·        Facilitate knowledge sharing and lessons learned sessions to enhance project management practices and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

·        Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

·        Proven experience as an Engagement Manager or similar role within a professional services organization.

·        Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

·        Excellent client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, manage expectations, and influence stakeholders at all levels.

·        Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand client needs and align solutions to achieve their strategic objectives.

·        Demonstrated experience in business development, including identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and driving revenue growth.

·        Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.

·        Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in professional services.

·        Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
