You will work at the core of modern data architecture, building and evolving pipelines, data lakes, and cloud-based platforms using AWS services. The position involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and optimized for analytics and business decision-making. You will participate in architectural discussions and contribute to scalable, high-performance data ecosystems. Accountabilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, and integration across multiple sources and systems.
  • Design and implement modern data architectures such as Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse solutions on AWS.
  • Build and orchestrate scalable workflows using tools like AWS Glue, Apache Spark, Airflow, or equivalent technologies.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, security, and availability across all data platforms and processes.
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for cloud-based data solutions.
  • Integrate data from APIs, streaming systems, messaging platforms, and relational/non-relational databases.
  • Support version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automation practices within the data engineering lifecycle.
  • Requirements:

    • Solid hands-on experience with AWS data services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and Step Functions.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, and/or PySpark for data processing and analytical modeling.
    • Experience building and managing data pipelines using modern orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar).
    • Deep understanding of modern data architectures including Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse concepts.
    • Experience with data integration from APIs, event-driven systems, and heterogeneous data sources.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and automation in data engineering workflows.
    • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to data quality and performance.
    • (Differential) Experience with Lakehouse frameworks such as Delta Lake or Iceberg and cloud migration projects.
