Engineering Manager

Ask Media Group’s Product Engineering team is looking for a manager of software engineering with the expertise to help us scale our marketing initiatives and further drive user engagement. We’re looking for an experienced leader to guide a team composed of software engineers to support our scaled web delivery platform and ecosystem. You and your team will collaborate with the web development and product teams to strengthen the web development platform and keep it in alignment with business needs. We’re looking for someone who is sharp, collaborative, resourceful, and can communicate complex ideas with ease. This position requires excellent communication skills, business instincts, and a “get-it-done” mindset to ensure that results are delivered while also encouraging creativity and innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Manage, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Work with partners in product and web development to deliver on team initiatives and achieve business goals.
• Encourage and facilitate transparency within the business.
• Help your team make decisions around designing solutions and work approaches to meet business expectations in an efficient manner.
• Support and improve best practices for software development.
• Track and report on work/project progress.
• Create an environment and culture that enables your team to perform at its best.

What You Bring to Us

• 2+ years of management experience building and leading product engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience building scaled, audience facing web products.
• Solid communication and presentation skills with ability to interact with different cross-functional team members.
• Strong understanding of Scrum.
• Intellectually curious and continuously striving to learn.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 USD annually. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Ask Media Group’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual bonuses, and short and long-term incentives.
