What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor a team of iOS and Android engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. 
• Drive technical excellence in messaging and calling features, ensuring best practices in architecture, performance, and reliability. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and QA, to define and deliver high-quality features that enhance user experience. 
• Oversee the development lifecycle, from planning and design to execution, deployment, and monitoring. 
• Provide technical guidance on real-time communication technologies such as WebRTC, SIP, and VoIP frameworks. 
• Champion best practices in software engineering, including code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. 
• Act as a thought leader in mobile engineering, staying current with industry trends and emerging technologies. 
• Balance strategic planning with hands-on technical involvement to drive impactful product development. 
• Drive a culture of ownership and accountability, ensuring the team is aligned with business objectives and user needs

Who You Are

• An experienced Engineering Manager with 5+ years of leadership experience managing iOS and/or Android development teams. 
• A strong technical background with at least 5+ years of hands-on experience in mobile development (iOS, Android, or both). 
• Proficient in Swift, Kotlin, Objective-C, or Java, with a deep understanding of mobile architectures and best practices. 
• Experienced in real-time communication technologies such as WebRTC, SIP, XMPP, or similar. 
• Skilled in building and scaling messaging and calling features, with a strong understanding of push notifications, background tasks, and network management. 
• Passionate about coaching and mentoring engineers, helping them grow their skills and careers. 
• Adept at working in a fast-paced environment, making data-driven decisions, and delivering impactful solutions. 
• A strong communicator who can articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 
• Experienced in Agile methodologies, with a track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope.
