Engineering Manager - Product / DevEx

We are looking for talented and motivated engineering leaders to join the Engineering team at O(1) Labs.  This is a chance to join a small, collaborative team and have a ton of independence while working on fascinating cross-disciplinary problems and building on the first cryptocurrency protocol with a succinct blockchain, Mina Protocol.

We are working on developing a first class user experience for our developer and ecosystem communities.  We are looking for a leader who will help lead, develop and expand the product engineering team, building first class user facing components such as our zkApps sdk, CLI and GraphQL APIs to enable an outstanding developer experience.  

In this role you will:

• Mentor and develop engineers to grow professionally and create environments where they feel empowered to contribute their best
• Lead and establish team structure, culture and processes that provide high, collaboration, visibility and accountability
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Developer Relations and other stakeholders to develop and execute well-informed engineering roadmaps
• Contribute to the development of the project 

Requirements include:

• Frontend, fullstack or developer tooling software engineering experience
• At least 2-4 years of engineering management experience

Ideal candidates will have experience with or be interested in:

• Cryptography, cryptocurrency and/or blockchain
• Javascript or Typescript
• Developer User Experience  

However, there are no hard requirements; we're more interested in learning about your individual background.

O(1) Labs is the team that incubated, launched and contributes to Mina Protocol, a Layer 1 blockchain that  compresses the blockchain from hundreds of gigabytes down to the size of a few tweets and  can scale to millions of users while remaining decentralized enough for cell phones to be fully verifying nodes.  Using the power of Mina and zk technology we are at the forefront of building a privacy centered Web 3.0.
