About the team
The Test Experience's mission is to empower all Robinhoodies to develop, validate, and ship features safely, efficiently, and with confidence. We solve the challenges of iterating in a highly interconnected and complex tech stack so that the rest of the company doesn't have to.
To realize our mission we're building a platform that enables Robinhood Engineering a centrally-managed, community-supported platform that integrates closely with each step of the development workflow at Robinhood. We define a set of standards and configuration that all new applications rely on and follow.
About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a high caliber engineering team in an effort to lead, mentor and build our features, specifically towards these 3 critical components.

1. Personal Development Environments: isolated production-like environments that allow engineers and non-engineers alike to experiment and explore.
2. Integration Testing: end-to-end, cross-service testing that runs on every diff and gates lands to master
3. Shared Tooling: libraries, UIs, and other tooling critical to the development process to abstract away complexities for our users.

What you'll do day-to-day

• Set and lead the strategy, mission, and vision of Test Experience.
• Deliver high-quality, impactful projects in record time with thoughtful planning.
• Empower your engineers to do the best work of their lives.
• Apply technical leadership and expertise to your team and all of engineering.
• Coach and mentor engineers by giving them consistent, early, and actionable feedback.

About you

• Experience leading a medium to large size team of engineers.
• A focus on software engineering craftsmanship; testing, static analysis, continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.
• Understanding of what metrics to drive to increase engineering velocity and quality.
• Passion for mentoring junior engineers and improving engineering craftsmanship.

CO Residents: In Colorado, the base pay for this position ranges from $169000 to $224000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and participation in Robinhood's equity plan.
