  • Establish and scale user data governance practices, including cataloging, auditing, compliance-by-design, and privacy-first defaults
  • Enable AI-powered product experiences by providing trusted, high-quality user data foundations
  • Drive cross-organizational collaboration to align engineering execution with product and infrastructure priorities
  • Mentor, develop, and grow a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of ownership, inclusion, and technical excellence
  • Ensure systems are scalable, performant, secure, and compliant with relevant data privacy and regulatory requirements

  • Requirements:

    • 10+ years of industry experience, with 5+ years in engineering management or equivalent leadership roles
    • Strong expertise in distributed, large-scale backend and data systems, including domain modeling, service APIs, event-driven architectures, and offline data pipelines
    • Proven experience driving adoption of foundational platforms across multiple teams and competing priorities
    • Deep understanding of data privacy, compliance, and governance in large-scale systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to define technical vision, align teams, and influence stakeholders
    • Track record of inclusive leadership, talent development, and building high-ownership teams
    • Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with identity, user, and account modeling at scale, including relationships, permissions, authentication, and authorization
      • Familiarity with data governance practices, including cataloging, lineage, auditing, and policy enforcement
      • Experience partnering with Trust, Risk, Compliance, or Tax teams
      • Expertise in evolving large systems incrementally while maintaining product velocity

      • Benefits:

        • Competitive base salary range: $204,000 — $255,000 USD
        • Eligibility for bonus, equity, and employee travel credits
        • Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits
        • Remote work flexibility with occasional in-office or offsite collaboration
        • Supportive and inclusive work culture emphasizing diversity, equity, and innovation
        • Opportunities for career growth, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration
