English (US) - Maps Quality Tester

In this exciting role, you will be working remotely at a leading consumer technology company as a contributor to the finished products released in target markets across the globe. You'll work within a team to verify mapping data utilising mobile technology.

The ideal candidate is a brilliant problem solver, quick study, self-starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for shipping quality products. The ability to think on your feet and to deliver results in a fast-paced environment is a must.

 

Our testers will work closely with the development team to ensure the client organization ships the highest quality application. The candidate should possess the ability to quickly grasp and distill highly complex matters into clean, understandable reports. The candidate must also be an effective diplomat with strong communication and organizational skills, who is willing to prove him or herself within a company of talented individuals.

Austin Based (but you'll be working remotely!)

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred

Ability to explain technical detail in clear and concise reports

Organised and self-sufficient, able to work remotely without direct supervision

Creative thinker and and able to understand the product from the users perspective

Be polite and courteous.

Have experience with iOS devices and be technologically savvy.

Familiarity using mobile devices for driving navigation e.g. Apple Maps, Google Maps

Experience working with data and spreadsheets

Good written and spoken English

Working knowledge of maps and web based mapping products

Proficient using iOS and MacOS (desirable)

Cyclists are a plus.

Location: Remote in Austin, TX

Project duration: Open-ended

Working Hours / Schedule: 40-hour workweek

Flexible 8 hours from 7 am-7 pm 

Rate: $23/hour

Desired Start Date: ASAP

W2 contract position
