Job Description

Ibotta is seeking an Equity Specialist to join our innovative People Operations team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. As an Equity Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing our company's stock and equity programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic guidance to optimize our equity compensation plans. In addition, you will oversee our benefits enrollment and serve as the go-to benefits specialist for current employees. You will collaborate closely with our finance and legal departments, and others in our HR department, to drive informed decision-making and support the overall equity program for our company.

 

This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office. The specified high value hybrid days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Candidates must live in the United States.

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Administer and oversee equity compensation programs, including stock grant options.

  • Maintain accurate records of equity grants, exercises, and vesting schedules; ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards related to stock and equity management; prepare necessary reports and employee communications

  • Oversee benefit enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, distributions, loans, hardships, and compliance testing

  • Serve as a day to day contact for employees, plan vendors, and third-party administrators for Ibotta’s benefits programs.

  • Collaborate with legal and accounting departments to develop and implement equity compensation policies and guidelines.

What we are looking for: 

  • 2-4 years of experience administering equity programs

  • Proven experience working with both private and publicly traded companies; experience with multiple types of awards including RSUs, PSUs, Options and ESPPs.

  • Proven understanding of stock market dynamics, equity compensation plans, and relevant regulatory frameworks.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.

  • Experience with financial modeling and data analysis tools.

  • Experience with Workday is highly desirable

  • Experience implementing a new stock management system is a plus

  • Experience with company benefit plans a plus

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Details: 

  • This position is located in Denver, CO and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity. Denver office perks include paid parking, bagel Thursdays, snacks and occasional meals.

  • Base compensation range: $71,000 - $92,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience. Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.
