Event Marketing Manager

As Event Marketing Manager for Parchment, you are responsible for ensuring that our many trade show presences go off without a hitch. You will work collaboratively to plan, run and report on these shows to ensure that we are creating meaningful engagements for our customers and prospective customers. 

The Event Marketing Manager is part of the marketing team. You will report to the Sr. Event Marketing Manager and work closely with Portfolio Marketing, Demand Generation, as well as Sales, Customer Success and other departments attending or presenting at events.

To be successful, you will blend your passion for customer experiences with your creativity, exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication skills and stakeholder management. You can see the big picture of the event program, but live in the details. You are agile, proactive and persistent. 

Travel and onsite management are not expected for this position, but could be requested if a need is determined.

What you will do:

• Research, negotiate and secure sponsorships and exhibit space for target market events & trade shows
• Research and book dinner or other hosted event venues as needed
• Develop and maintain overall project plan and manage internal and external deliverables in a timely and effective manner - with a very keen attention to detail
• Manage all operational and administrative logistics from sponsorship registration to ordering booth materials and services 
• Work with existing vendor partners to manage marketing inventory so each event is properly branded
• Write event briefs and communicate plans and schedules with stakeholders 
• Manage lead collection and processing, gather post-event feedback, and coordinate post-show follow-up
• Manage spend and adhere to budget

What you will need to know/have:

• Proven experience with trade show and event management, education-industry experience is a highly desirable
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects in various stages simultaneously
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management 
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
• Experience managing event budgets
• Proficiency in Google Suite and project management software like Asana
