Motive is seeking to add to our high performing and rapidly expanding Marketing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented, resourceful marketing events professional to help plan, manage and execute in-person events including national conferences and association events. In this role, you will ensure the delivery of first-class, valuable, engaging, high-impact events for our target audiences across various industries.Â
Additionally, this role will have a specific focus on building out Motive’s national and state association network and go-to-market approach with association members. Associations are membership-led organizations that connect industry-specific individuals together, provide networking opportunities, and curate highly relevant educational resources.Â
You will have a high visibility, high impact role that identifies opportunities to improve best practices, internal processes, and brand presence in order to achieve scalability while Motive continues to grow. This position requires the combination of exceptional communications skills, detailed project management ability, and an enterprise event marketing background. Experience working with associations as well as planning and executing events and an ability to engage with senior executives internally and externally is critical to the success of this role.
What You'll Do:- Research association landscape across all key verticals and identity the most effective association network for the current priorities
- Operationalize the association kickoff process with sales and performance marketing
- Manage and evaluate association memberships, budget, sponsorships, events, webinars, display, and other marketing opportunities.
- Assist with the successful planning, management and execution of National, Industry and User Conferences.Â
- Drive all aspects of event management for association events: messaging, communications, logistics, branding, collateral, vendor management, project timelines, budget management and reconciliation.
- Write event briefings, and stakeholder communications pre and post-event.
- Communicate with various external and internal groups to drive project plan and foster collaboration.
- Measure business impact of association events on net new accounts, marketing-sourced pipeline, influenced pipeline
- Travel minimum 25% of the time
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, including operations, program/project management, technical implementations, multi-channel marketing strategies
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including executive presence.
- Knowledge of Marketo and Salesforce, with ability to quickly learn and adopt the latest MarTech solutions we implement
- Effective planning and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with extreme attention to detail and minimal guidance
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills – strong problem solver who can analyze data and define solutions.
- Metrics driven, experience having pipeline building responsibility a plus.
- Creative, high energy, innovative, proactive, and resourceful.
- Proven ability to thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel minimum 25% of the time
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The compensation range for this position will depend on where you reside. Motive uses three geographic zones to determine pay range. For this role, the compensation ranges are:
