Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for an Events Manager to join our Salt Lake City, UT team.

Position Overview:

The Events Manager's principal responsibilities are to manage, organize and execute on Laborie events. This includes online and offline events at tradeshows, meetings, courses and webinars across all Laborie business segments. This individual will manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation. The Global Events Manager will report to the Senior Director, Global Digital Marketing & Strategic Insights.

How you contribute:

• Liaise with sales, marketing, and education teams to find out their exact event requirements (online and offline events).
• Create and present the annual events calendar.
• Manage event budget and track expenditure.
• Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets).
• Research venues, suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire.
• Manage and coordinate supplies for the event (for example, equipment, brochures, booth equipment) - including shipping and return of goods.
• Manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, catering, travel).
• Liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicize and promote the event (including the use of Eventbrite, social media, website and email campaigns).
• Manage all pre-event planning, organizing guest speakers (with the aid of sales and marketing) and delegate packs.
• Coordinate suppliers, handle client queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget.
• Manage the team of staff at the event by giving full briefings, setting expectations and delegating duties accordingly.
• Make sure that insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed.
• Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently.
• Manage lead acquisition and follow up.
• Seek post event feedback though post-event surveys and meetings to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Events Management, marketing, hospitality, or related field
• Proven experience in event management (tradeshows)
• Experience with international events management
• Experience with online event management including webinars (gotowebinar, Teams)
• Experience using event management tools (Eventbrite, AtEvent etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages and excellent administrative skills
• Ability to travel internationally (as event requires)
• English language proficiency (written and verbal) required

Other:

• Experience using a marketing automation tool is an advantage (e.g. HubSpot)
• Experience with CRM tools is an advantage (e.g. Salesforce)
• Knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred
• English language proficiency (written and verbal) required
• Additional language a bonus (e.g. Spanish)
