Practice Environment Description: Outpatient Clinic, Medical, and Surgery Subspecialties include Dialysis, Endoscopy, outpatient OR, and Urgent Care on site. MRI on site.
Academic Affiliation: Wake Forest
Opportunity Highlights: Residency from Wake Forest Internal Medicine comes through the clinic. Medicine Services has fellows.
Benefits
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) a student loan payment reimbursement program.
Work Schedule: M-F 08:00-1630
Call Schedule: None
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of annual paid time offer per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by V.A.
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.
Education: A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.
Licensure: Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Residency: Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.
Board Certification: Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
Kernersville is a town in Forsyth County, in the U.S. state of North Carolina. A small portion of the town is also in Guilford County. It is close to 2 hours from Charlotte and 90 minutes from Raleigh, with a professional basketball and ice hockey arena. Accessible to mountains and beaches. Excellent universities in the area.
