Exemption Specialist

Overview

We are seeking self-driven customer service and account management professionals. To serve the needs of direct and indirect customers of the Managed Services team by performing customer service and account management activities via e-mail and phone, managing end-to-end process for uploading and processing tax documents, & conducting outbound contact campaigns to indirect customers. The Account Specialist is responsible for direct support of assigned accounts and supplemental support for all other Managed Services customers.

*This role will require the individual to work hybrid 2 -3 days a week in the Durham office.*

Responsibilities

• Gain sales & use tax content and proprietary software proficiencies to support the needs of Managed Services' direct and indirect customer base.
• Rely on content and software proficiencies to compile analyses of assigned accounts' compliance levels, making recommendations to enhance overall tax compliance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by supporting direct and indirect customer queries via phone and e-mail, ensuring prompt responses that drive resolution.
• Process tax documents from direct and indirect customers & conduct outbound campaigns to request updated documentation.
• Serve as primary point of contact for all assigned accounts while providing supplemental support for all other Managed Services customers.
• Contribute to department knowledgebase via contributions to established documentation and creation of new resources.
