Could this be you?

As an integral member of the VillageMD Accounting team, you will support our Controller and external reporting team, business development, and government relation leaders with the reporting needs of various market incentive programs.  In this role, you will experience a broad exposure to many areas within VillageMD and the opportunity to learn in grow in a fast paced and explosively growing entity.

How you can make a difference

  • Support accounting and finance with required reporting for various programs that VillageMD has entered into across the country to support our nationwide expansion. 
  • Analyze the incentive programs to build a framework of required reporting and a calendar to guide the timing of when reporting is required. 
  • Gather and reconcile expenditures related to the incentive programs to support compiling the reporting
  • Assist with ensuring the spend related to these programs and the impact of the programs are properly accounted
  • Support accounting and finance function with adhoc financial analysis and reporting needs related to these incentive programs
  • Build and maintain a database of the programs to assess the performance of each more efficiently
  • Assist accounting with monthly review and attend meetings to help ensure all data is reflected accurately

Skills for success

  • A willingness to learn, take initiative and be resourceful
  • Experience with gathering detailed financial information and producing financial reports utilized by external parties
  • An ability to research a topic and applicable guidance or rules and apply that knowledge to the relevant financial fact set (such as researching a GAAP standard and applying to a business’s operations).
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • The ability to be flexible in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Ability to solve problems, and establish trust
  • A low ego and humility; an ability to gain trust through strong communication and doing what you say you will do

Experience to drive change

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role, experience at a public accounting firm is a plus
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within a fast-growing company
  • Experience and interest in researching solutions for problems encountered
  • A desire to drive results, execute on tasks, and prioritize deadlines
  • A desire to innovate and improve, and build relationships internally and externally
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required

For Colorado Residents only: The hiring base compensation range for this role is $60,000 to $70,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
