Field Service Welder / Fitter

Our Field Service Welders learn how to repair, assemble, and install rotating equipment, first in the shop and then on-site. While in the field, lodging is paid for and we pay $50 a day for meals. Company transportation is provided. The Field Crews are required to travel periodically for field service work and must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Normal shift is M-F 6am - 2:30pm, with occasional overtime and weekends. We pay weekly every Wednesday. Some field jobs qualify for a $4.00 an hour differential while working in the field. **Salary is negotiable based on experience and weld test results.** * 5 or more years of mig / flux core welding experience preferred. Tig a plus. * Fabricate components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces (carbon steel and stainless steel), conforming to company standards. * Willing and able to travel for Field Service work is mandatory. * Set up and measure assemblies. * Perform carbon air arc gouging. * Read blue prints. * Operate a hand-held plasma torch and/or oxygen, and acetylene torch and other misc hand tools. * Possess reading, writing, measuring and math skills. Able to use a tape measure. * Possess basic welding tools, hood, safety boots. * Consent to criminal background check and clean drug screen. * Weld test will be given.
