Job Description
Ibotta is seeking a Business Process Architect for our Finance and Revenue domains to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. This role will be a subject matter expert (people, process, and technologies) in leading our business process optimization efforts going forward, working closely with business transformation teams, process owners, stakeholders, and system actors/participants to optimize some of Ibotta’s more critical business processes.Â
This position is located in Denver, Colorado or with the option of full-time remote. Candidates must live in the United States.
What you will be doing:
Design and refine the architecture of Ibotta’s technology and financial business processes (people, processes, and technologies) in concert with other Ibotta Architects and business stakeholders
Bring deep expertise in business processes and system thinking together with top-notch problem solving, mentoring, and collaboration skills to drive near & long-term strategy and solutionsÂ
Develop, coordinate, and teach out the business process strategy and roadmap for Ibotta
Act as a critical communication and synthesis conduit across the Engineering, Finance and Revenue organizations, aligning Ibotta business vision and objectives with group goals, input, and feedback. Additionally, partnering with group management to make difficult prioritization trade-offs and timeline decisionsÂ
Work with the leads of the group or functional area to develop an architectural vision/strategy for the group that:
Identifies the structure and key components of the system (Including producing and coordinating current documentation for experts and non-experts alike)
Identifies the relationships between the components (Data, APIs, events, etc.)
Defines a robust and flexible platform or framework that supports known/current business needs while enabling unanticipated future business needs
Develop and refine Ibotta’s standards, processes, protocols, and best practices by actively identifying patterns, synthesizing and coalescing concerns from groups and colleagues across the company, then working to collaboratively solve these issues while evangelizing, teaching, and promoting the results
Act as a technical and professional mentor by asking good questions of teams, seeking the bigger picture, and introducing high-level ideas that teams can then execute. In addition to fostering human connections and communication among teams, Architects provide direct mentorship to the tech leads in their group or function in order to develop and encourage the Ibotta architects of the future
Develop strong and positive working relationships as a trustworthy collaborator with all business process stakeholders. Architects, in equal partnership with various managers, drive and are responsible for the direction and success of each group at IbottaÂ
Ultimately, drive optimization in helping our financial business processes become more scalable, efficient, and reliable

What we are looking for:
10+ years of experience, with steadily increasing scope and responsibilities in business financial systems, processes, architecture, and solution development/deployment (or similar)
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or equivalent required. Masters in relevant disciplines preferred
Seasoned background consistent with being among the most senior resources in an organization
Expertise in building out SaaS-scale, digital-first, and high growth business platforms
Significant experience with feedback/control systems and data/analytics-driven enterprises preferred
Expertise and history of applying systems thinking and agile business process patterns to complex problems
Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills and style for both technical and non-technical audiences
A collaborative and friendly approach to problem solving, with the ability to drive
Passion for teaching, mentorship, and getting the ultimate satisfaction from seeing those around them succeed
Well-organized, resolute, and goal-oriented in terms of achieving objectives and key results while keeping the bigger organizational goals and successes in mind
Comfort with fast paced environments, ability to adapt to changing environments, and lead amidst ambiguity

Additional Details:
This position is located in Denver, CO or with the option of full-time remote and includes competitive pay, flexible time off, benefits package (including medical, dental, vision), Lifestyle Spending Account, 401k match, and equity.
Base compensation range: $141,000 - $182,000. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
Total compensation for this role also includes a variable component in addition to base salary.
