What We NeedThe FP&A Financial Analyst for the 2K Games/Studios is an integral position that assists in financial oversight and management of assigned business areas: production/studio’s budgeting, reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking activities for various 2K Studios’ game/product portfolio of Development and Productions. This is a highly visible role where you will be providing financial and operational analyses and reporting to key partners that will influence business decisions. What You Will Do- Responsible for handling complex game production budgets and schedules, which will require attention to detail and an understanding of the production pipeline, achievements and results
- Partner with the business team in preparing for annual operating budgets, track results, expenses, headcounts, and provide transparency to divisional and finance leadership; maintain in-depth a full P&L forecasting and reporting, track actuals and predict future financial performance for your assigned business areas (Internal studios and Publishing)
- Gather production expense planning assumptions and timing updates in coordination and consolidation with various business partners, internal finance teams, legal and operations
- Prepare production costs’ estimate updates monthly/quarterly/annually including headcount/resource allocations to projects/titles in collaboration with Producers, Studio’s functional leaders and internal FP&A teams
- Present monthly/quarterly Estimated Final Cost (EFC) reports and relevant budget cost and variance analyses of assigned game production budget/latest approved plan to Producers, Product Management leaders, Studio leaders and internal FP&A teams
- Identify and analyze cause of change (variances) between monthly forecasts through ongoing meetings with production teams; communicate risks and opportunities, ensure that all data is accurately loaded and reported through various financial systems
- Coordinate Production Accounting compliance audits: project/time tracking and Video Game Tax Relief (VGTR) incentive supports of assigned game productions
- Assist Production Leadership and Department Managers in crafting and maintaining various ad hoc reports for planning production flow, executive level presentations on product updates as relates to financial views
- Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional/business areas. Assist in month-end closing working in partnership with centralized accounting teams, prepare and advise month end accruals, recommend reclassification of expense as needed resulting from detailed transactional analyses against various plans
- Develop a proficiency in and a business understanding of all of 2K’s financial systems and data sources and an understanding and working knowledge of 2K financial processes, accounting principles and internal controls
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of accounting or finance experience
- Tried time management and multiple task management capabilities
- Experience using databases and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Oracle, Workday, SQL)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills and sophisticated modeling and Excel skills
- Ability to lead challenging priorities with professionalism, and work with tact, discretion, confidentiality, versatility, and reliability
- Flexible to work independently or as part of a team, with little or only general instruction
- Technically oriented with database/process experience and geared towards driving standardization and consolidation
