We are seeking an insightful, strategic-minded manager to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, helping empower our leaders to consistently make strategic, advantageous decisions for our Community Solar business. This individual will support commercial and operational analysis, and lead financial forecasting and reporting. They will partner closely with the business GM and sales teams, marketing, operations and product functions to identify and build business cases for improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will develop a deep understanding of the business and its data. This individual will also be able to extract the most pertinent information, and translate it into concrete insights and useful recommendations for internal and external partners

Additionally, this role will work cross-functionally daily to build shared understanding of strategic and financial objectives. This role can be based anywhere in the US and will report to the head of FP&A. Eventually, minimal travel will be required.

• Own Community Solar financial forecast; collaborate with business leaders to advise sales and expense estimates and build financial models to accurately forecast business performance and financial results
• Advise on pricing and other decision-making around new initiatives, products, and business opportunities, applying business judgment and meticulous financial analysis
• Provide business input working with analytics engineering to automate calculation of key metrics (real time revenue estimates, invoicing, and commissions)
• Assist in preparation of executive and Board presentations, and investor materials
• Assist with fundraising, scenario planning and M&A as needed
• Track and review actuals versus forecast estimates; prepare appropriate variance explanations and highlight key performance drivers
• Partner with accounting to deliver month-end close items and support audit (as needed)

• BA/BS degree
• 3+ years of experience in consulting, finance, or FP&A at either a high-growth company or a large, well-established organization
• Outstanding financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills; comfort crafting scalable models
• Excellent communication and narrative storytelling/presentation skills
• Proven experience or comfort with presenting to senior leaders and/or executives; willingness to offer opinion before being asked
• A collaborative approach and self-starter demeanor
• Excel proficiency and strong PowerPoint skills, basic knowledge of SQL or data visualization a plus
• Familiarity with US GAAP, accounting and FP&A systems
