Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist

What does a day in the life of a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist look like?

• Assist on the preparation of Financial Reporting packages, Budgeting, Forecasting and In depth analysis reports required
• Establish a report template that can serve as supporting schedules for any Financial reporting and forecasting
• Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
• Ensure real-time financial performance monitoring.
• Escalates any financial issues to management.
• Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives with the Functional Group
• Do market research and comparable company analysis.
• Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance and/or improve cost optimization with Functional Group
• Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
• Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
• Assist on the monitoring of Company spending through Budget preparation, monitoring, analysis and forecasting
• Serve as a Business Consultant with Functional Group

What are the required qualifications of a Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist?

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience
• 2 years of financial planning experience
• 2 years supervisory or managerial experience
• 1-2 years experience in the call center environment
• Learns quickly and has strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Solid in financial reporting and model
• Can demonstrate excellent financial and quantitative skills

Having these qualifications are helpful, but not required

• Master’s degree with years of supervisor experience
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• CFA and other certifications
