This role sits at the intersection of technology policy, coalition building, and long-term thinking about the role of AI in shaping human society. You will help advance initiatives aimed at promoting pro-human approaches to artificial intelligence, working across stakeholders in policy, academia, civil society, and technology. The position focuses on turning ideas into coordinated action by supporting complex, multi-stakeholder programs and ensuring they progress effectively. You will contribute to shaping narratives, building partnerships, and operationalizing initiatives that explore desirable futures with AI. The environment is highly mission-driven, collaborative, and intellectually engaged, requiring both strategic thinking and strong execution skills. You will also play a key role in supporting communications and public-facing efforts that amplify the organization’s work. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to global conversations about how AI should be developed and governed in service of humanity.

Accountabilities:

  • Support coalition-building efforts by cultivating and strengthening relationships with stakeholders across policy, technology, academia, and civil society.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple program workstreams, ensuring deliverables are tracked and initiatives progress on schedule.
  • Assist in launching and supporting new initiatives, including scoping projects and contributing to potential grantmaking efforts.
  • Help organize and execute convenings, workshops, and briefings that bring together diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with communications teams to support public-facing campaigns, announcements, and media engagement.
  • Translate high-level strategic ideas into structured operational plans and actionable execution across programs.
  • Ensure alignment and momentum across multi-partner initiatives with varying perspectives and priorities.
  • Requirements:

    • Experience in project or program management with the ability to coordinate multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
    • Strong interest in AI, emerging technologies, and questions around the societal impact and governance of advanced systems.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and maintain relationships across diverse and sometimes divergent stakeholders.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to non-expert audiences.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong self-direction and accountability for outcomes.
    • Experience in policy, advocacy, coalition-building, or initiative scaling is strongly preferred.
    • Background in technology, science, or public policy environments is an advantage.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary range of $83,500 – $155,000 annually (based on experience and location)
      • Health insurance coverage (US-based hires)
      • 24+ days of paid time off per year
      • Paid parental leave
      • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
      • Remote work allowance for home office setup and equipment
      • Professional development budget for continued learning and growth
      • Flexible, remote-first work environment with global collaboration opportunities
      • Opportunity to work on high-impact global initiatives shaping the future of AI governance
