The Generative AI Technology team at Point72 is a group of skilled professionals who are responsible for  conceptualizing and developing, the firm's Generative AI efforts. The team works closely with business stakeholders, the Tech Innovation team, and development teams across Technology to deploy cutting-edge AI technology that has the ability to transform the firm’s operations.

Summary

We are looking for a seasoned full stack developer to join our team to help us build a best-in-class Generative AI Platform. You should have extensive experience with web technologies and building full stack web applications. This role will involve designing and implementing the front-end and back-end architecture, integrating with our platform services APIs, and testing/deploying/maintaining the application used across the firm.

What you’ll do

• Help develop a best-in-class generative AI platform using the latest full stack technologies and frameworks
• Design, implement, and integrate applications with RESTful API services
• Partner with other software engineers, designers, QA engineers, and product managers to architect and prototype and implement features
• Take a product-focused approach and care about building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to use

What’s required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training from a bootcamp
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer building REST APIs/GraphQL and/or interfaces using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Strong coding skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with service-oriented architectures
• Experience with React/Angular and other frontend frameworks, as well as database design and development using Postgres or Redis
• Knowledge of coding best practices, code reusability, and adherence to security standards
• Familiarity with DevOps methodologies such as Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and Kubernetes, and have cloud experience with AWS or Azure
• Experience with QA and testing automation
• Experience building LLM applications using tools such as Langchain and Llamaindex, or NLP related toolchains (SpaCy, HuggingFace, NLTK, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to recommend innovative solutions
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and convey technical concepts effectively

The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
