The Opportunity:

As we continue to expand our ability to transform primary care across the country, the teams  that support that growth are expanding, too. We are seeking to hire a General Manager, Behavioral Health Strategy, to further develop and lead our national behavioral health service line. Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategy, you will partner with Strategy leadership on service line design and own the overall success of the service line by driving key business outcomes, patient engagement, and service line growth. In this highly visible and cross-functional role you will collaborate with key functional managers including Medical Directors, Operations Directors, Technology Leaders, as well as senior leadership from all departments (Strategy, Finance, Marketing, People Experience, Sales, Legal, etc.) to ensure the service line success.

Highly collaborative, you are at ease navigating complex organizations to drive business results, effectively partnering with key stakeholders to lead opportunity development. Adept at cultivating innovation, you regularly evaluate industry trends, customer needs and regulatory changes to inform the company’s perspective on your domain. What you'll work on:

  • Develop strategies, plan, and success measures to drive national growth of service line
  • Lead cross functional team in new service deployment including budget, staffing, technical requirements, legal factors, financial considerations, program measurement, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to drive performance across service line goals, such as member growth, patient experience, team engagement, financial health, and clinical quality
  • Lead cross-functional service line meetings and effectively communicate service line status, achievements, escalations, and opportunities to senior leadership 
  • Act as the point person to proactively identify and resolve ongoing business problems, cross functional needs, and project risks
  • Lead cross-functional process on service line development and roadmap execution, including scope recommendations for leadership determination
  • Support Operations, Clinical and Product in building out service capabilities
  • Generate insights and identify opportunity areas on company performance within behavioral health by building data models and quantitative analysis to support business decision making

What you’ll have: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience required, with a minimum of 3 years demonstrating progressive career advancement at a global management consulting firm, focusing on strategy and/or transforming company financial performance with multiple, complex clients 
  • 1+ years experience leading projects or critical work streams within a matrixed organization, with accountability for business outcomes 
  • Healthcare experience with payers or providers required
  • Structured thinking with the ability to quickly derive relevant, meaningful insights from qualitative and quantitative data, and work through complex, cross functional problems 
  • Deep experience modeling data to generate insights and/or conduct diligence on financial, operational and business performance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, articulate strategic rationale, and communicate business drivers to different audiences
  • Demonstrated track record of standing up new company processes and capabilities within a matrixed, complex setting
  • Previous experience with technology initiatives, field operations, and go-to-market planning preferred

This is a full time role either based in San Francisco, or remotely in the United States, with PT hours preferred and anticipated travel on a quarterly basis.
