This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the general ledger accounting function in a high-growth, innovative financial environment. You will oversee month-end close activities, intercompany transactions, complex reconciliations, and full-cycle accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The position blends hands-on accounting expertise with team leadership and process improvement, allowing you to shape scalable systems and workflows. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners, FP&A teams, and external stakeholders, driving efficiency, accuracy, and operational excellence. Accountabilities:
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for general ledger accounting, full-cycle accounts payable, and month-end close activities across multiple entities.
- Oversee journal entries, complex reconciliations, intercompany transactions, corporate cash bookings, accruals, capitalized software, and stock-based compensation.
- Liaise with internal and external partners to develop creative, effective accounting solutions for diverse stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve and standardize accounting processes, documentation, and workflows for greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct comprehensive expense analysis and serve as a key point of contact for FP&A and audit-related activities.
- Field ambiguous requests with judgment and initiative, ensuring timely and accurate accounting outcomes.
- Support ad hoc projects while balancing ongoing responsibilities and proactively communicating impacts across the team.
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting or industry general ledger accounting roles.
- Proven ability to design, operationalize, and scale accounting processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for managing large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Experience with accounting software, preferably NetSuite, and familiarity with cloud-based platforms is a plus.
- Understanding of financial reporting, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and process improvement techniques.
