The continued rapid growth of Definitive Healthcare, combined with the increasing demands of our customers along the life science drug development continuum, has created a need for highly experienced Global Account leaders. The complexity of positioning our host of products and services to client teams (from medical affairs through to commercial analytics) requires deep knowledge of the global biopharma and medical device industries. This role represents a unique and unparalleled opportunity for the qualified candidate.

Your challenge:

As a Global Account Manager (GAM) for Definitive Healthcare, you will take the lead in managing a portfolio of top-tier global biopharma and device accounts, driving the renewal and growth of existing engagements and facilitating the adoption of all Definitive Healthcare product lines across the enterprise.  You will utilize your years of experience as a senior salesperson in life science technology and data solutions to deliver intelligent, integrated solutions to our customers’ most pressing business problems. In doing so, you will engage with the highest levels of decision maker (C-Suite) in these crucial accounts and develop deep, lasting relationships that embed Definitive Healthcare in their infrastructure.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Complex, layered sales processes within global enterprises that will demand exceptional skill in navigating relationships and negotiating contracts at the highest levels
  • Creation and execution of strategic plans, custom designed for each account, to ensure execution of near-term objectives and long-range targets, including management of an annual cadence of meetings, engagements and workshops with each customer
  • Navigation of customer relationships on a global basis, with awareness of the nuances of regional purchasing behaviors and varying business needs
  • Execution of deep consultative sales processes in order to align customer issues and needs with DHC’s suite of solutions
  • Management of a global quota for each enterprise account (comprised of all DH product lines) and implementation of multi-year plans to achieve renewal and upsell targets
  • Mapping of centers of authority and budget across these complex organizations
  • Internally, you will manage complex workflows involving multiple stakeholders across all DH client-facing teams, effectively leading a highly matrixed organization

What you’ll need:

  • BA or BS degree
  • 15+ years managing and growing top-tier customer accounts, including individual quota carrying experience
  • The ability to navigate complex, nuanced, multi-product, multi-departmental sales processes
  • Deep knowledge of the corporate structures, decision-making patterns and buying processes of global life science enterprises
  • A highly developed skillset around diagnosing client business needs at C-Suite level, and building powerful solutions
  • Strong knowledge of (and ongoing interest in) the life science industry, and the ability to translate that knowledge into client-facing strategies. You must be a student of the world our customers inhabit.
  • Understanding of the entire drug development life-cycle, and the varying demands of functional teams from medical affairs and commercial teams through to data and analytics groups
  • Exceptional, refined writing and presentation skills – allowing you to create and drive strategy with an executive presence and delivery, both internally and externally
