As we prepare for the future, we need a global director of Ethics and Compliance to support the Chief Legal & Compliance Officer; this new hire will be a first in the role, and will drive quarterly compliance reviews, lessons learned, some policy drafting, help identify needed training, may provide support for discovery requests, and can become our key expert on various regulated matters. It's a broad role where we pick the most important needs together. This professional will help a rapidly growing company and team to think about "what will the best compliance effort look like"? What you'll do:

• Drive a risk assessment process. Form and may lead a cross-functional team with Product Technical Compliance, Procurement, Privacy, HR, Security, Finance, and others on any concerns, training gaps, process gaps, and prioritization of top areas for effort.
• Key resource engaged in enterprise risk management. Spearhead quarterly compliance report to GC on (a) heat map of top risks; (b) eyes on ESG actions needed, (c) ethics complaints and resolution.
• Keep compliance front of mind - compliance communication plan, emails and tips and compliance plan - coordinate with HR and other teams to keep message visible and relevant.
• Attention to course availability / applicable annual trainings for employees, confirm training records exist. May be asked to look for relevant training courses to offer employees or help create some.
• Engagement to partner with CLO or others in Legal on investigations where helpful; or, help with Privacy on careful support/triage, where requested.
• Assist on litigation or discovery/subpoenas when needed at request of CLO.
• Attention to policy updates or policy creation (e.g., anti-corruption, fraud, insider training) and related training.
• Annual review of Compliance web page.
• Partner with CLO and Legal Team on recommended courses for Legal Team / training map.
• Deliver annual privilege / work product trainings to Boomi leaders to think about internal comms
• Partner on possible periodic Ethics/Compliance report to the Board or Leadership.
• May help research statutes for special legal / statutory promises to assess ability to support new regulatory needs.

The Experience you bring:

• Admitted as a lawyer, drives privileged conversations. (must have a legal degree active and in good standing)

• 6+ years of relevant experience including experience in an organization with an established global Ethics & Compliance program "Understands what great looks like!"
• Must be an adept, visible, and respected communicator
• Presence and ability to persuade and influence, good judgment about sensitive business and legal communications, attention to juggling multiple tasks and helping a growing team build the right program
• A sense of humor and kindness are important - we want Boomi employees to enjoy their co-workers and the experience of building this company and providing a great service
