The Role

The Growth Marketing Manager, Paid Search will be responsible for driving new member acquisition via paid search and related channels. This is an exciting role for someone looking to have ownership of one of Octave’s biggest acquisition channels. Someone who is a Google expert and loves turning data and creativity into action will love this role. This role reports to the Director of Growth Marketing. 

Responsibilities
  • Manage the strategy and execution of Google Paid Search and related campaigns
  • Analyze Paid Search and full demand generation performance to identify areas for improvement, notable trends, and opportunities for efficiencies
  • Perform campaign data analysis to understand the impact & ROI associated with each campaign to aid in the development of future strategies
  • Own day-to-day campaign management: budgeting and strategy planning, building and expanding of campaigns, ad copy writing, landing page testing, bid management, audience building, keyword management, etc.
  • Work with leadership to update forecasts, provide seasonality estimates, and report out on daily goals
  • Work with Creative and Product teams to create high performing on-brand copy, landing pages, and other necessary marketing materials
  • Work closely internal and external resources to stay current with industry trends and best practices
  • Attend weekly meetings and provide performance insight to various stakeholders and updates on initiatives
  • Work with cross-functional teams on day-to-day execution of analytics projects & initiatives
  • Generate reports, documentation, and insights as part of the analysis process
  • Ensure quality and timeliness of results that meet expectations while balancing business needs with the appropriate level of analytical rigor
  • Leverage story-telling skills to deliver insights that are clear, concise, and actionable
  • Work in tools such as Google Adwords, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, Tableau, Airtable and Notion
Skills You’ll Bring
  • Minimum 4+ years hands-on experience planning and executing large-scale SEM campaigns
  • Deep understanding of Google bidding algorithms to meet budget and performance goals
  • Hybrid of B2B and consumer experience preferred
  • Master with Excel and Google Sheets to create and maintain dashboards and provide ad hoc analysis. 
  • Solid understanding of multiple digital channels and how they work together (SEM, SEO, CRO, Social, Display, etc.)
  • Ability to combine large amounts of disparate data sets into a single cohesive report
  • Track record of experience delivering against marketing targets
  • Ad tech product knowledge 
  • Experience collaborating with larger marketing, product, and BI teams and partners
  • Ability to provide performance updates to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Google Adwords/Bing Ads certification not required, but a plus
  • Team player with a sincere drive to discover and share insights to the larger team

Starting pay for qualified applicants will depend on a combination of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is set forth below and this range may be modified in the future.

The salary range for this role: $94,500 - $150,000

Additionally, this position is eligible for the following benefits: company sponsored life insurance, disability and AD&D plans.  Voluntary benefits such as 401k retirement, medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, dependent care and commuter/parking options are also available.  Octave offers generous Paid Time Off as well as paid parental leave benefits.
