Meet the Growth Marketing Team:

The Growth Marketing Team is made up of innovative individuals focused on growing the user base across fuel, restaurant, and grocery and nurturing our existing customers. With a heavy emphasis on data and experimentation, the team tests performance across a variety of channels, including radio, digital, and unique referral programs, which creates space for creativity and diverse ideas. The team also owns the user experience once they sign up for the app, sending tens of millions of engaging and relevant emails, push notifications, and in-app messages each month to drive app usage. The Growth Marketing team works closely with writers, designers, creative strategists, data analysts, and others from across the organization to serve our 5M users and touch millions more through our marketing channels.

About the job:

By the end of the year, Upside has a goal to 2x the transactions that we drive to our almost 50,000 merchants and 20x our grocery and restaurant business.. To help us hit these goals, we’re in search of a Growth Marketing Specialist to assist in the implementation of tactics to acquire new consumers, drive increased value, and reactivate churned users. This role will take a data-driven and experimental approach, then work cross-functionally to scale up what’s most effective. It’s an exciting opportunity to learn consumer acquisition at a well-funded, rapidly growing startup.

What you’ll do:

  • Grow clients businesses by optimizing marketing campaigns across all online and offline media platforms

  • Routinely conduct data analysis to uncover insights, and inform campaign improvements, future media plans, and testing opportunities.

  • Creation of promo codes for online and offline campaigns.

  • Develop strategic testing plans based on goals to improve both performance and takeaways.

  • Package stakeholder ready campaign insights and reports, recommend concrete next steps that will improve performance and drive business results.

  • Development of innovative A/B tests and experiments.

  • Think holistically as a marketer & learn to translate business needs into comprehensive media activations.

What you need:

  • 1 to 3 years of marketing experience

  • Proficiency with Excel

  • Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok or other social media

  • BA/BS degree (Marketing, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics a plus).

  • Demonstrated record of excelling in previous roles and responsibilities.

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Detail oriented and organized.

  • Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced environment.

  • BONUS EXP: Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, R, and Python.
