Head of Clinical Strategy

About the role 

As Head of Clinical Strategy, your mission is to define, measure, and operationalize clinical quality at scale. This means designing the quality measures that shape how we connect patients to care, pioneering value-based care programs with leading payer partners, and engineering the policies needed to ensure the highest quality provider network.

As the only tech-enabled behavioral health Managed Services Organization (MSO) built with entirely in-house software, Headway has an unprecedented opportunity in the clinical space. Today, we capture >10k Patient Reported Outcomes (PROs) every month.  Tomorrow, we we have the opportunity to revolutionize the way the world thinks about quality in behavioral healthcare. 

You’ll be great for this role if:

• You are a clinician – have 5+ years of experience as a Psychiatrist or a Psychologist with experience both as a practicing provider as well as operating in a fast-paced, high growth business. Bonus points if you also hold an MBA.
• You are a thought leader –  with demonstrated passion for reimagining how behavioral health quality is defined, measured, and operationalized. This likely means you’ve worked in health plans, health systems, and / or value-based healthcare startups.
• You are a collaborator – eager and adept at working in concert with product, operations, and sales teams to infuse clinical strategy across the org.

You Will:

• Work with Product and Payer teams to design a quality program that defines, measures, and utilizes BH measurements/outcomes at scale.
• Support the Payer Business Development and Payer Success teams’ goals by serving as the clinical thought leadership voice in the room
• Design policies, processes, and controls to ensure Headway builds the highest quality provider network, with minimal risk exposure.
