We’re looking for a Head of Global HR Compliance & Employee Relations to join our People Team! 

What you'll do:

  • You will be responsible for working with leaders across the organization to ensure Snap lives up to its legal and regulatory employment commitments in all the countries in which we do business, and that our team members are treated equitably, respectfully, and in alignment with Snap’s values.

  • Establish high quality, scalable processes and systems to ensure Snap’s employment practices are compliant with country/local regulations.

  • Partner with leaders, managers, and HR partners across the organization to sustain positive employee relations programs and best practices.

  • Interpret and apply understanding of company policies, global employment law, and other regulations in regards to HR compliance and employee relations matters

  • Build training programs to support HR business partners in identifying and remediating potential compliance and employee relations issues such as:

    • Giving effective performance feedback and managing under-performance 

    • Equity, inclusion and belonging

    • Complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation

  • Provide subject matter expertise in specialized regulatory areas globally (e.g. EEOC, ADA, OFCCP, FMLA, WARN Act, OSHA, FLSA, works council, trade unions, etc). 

  • Lead response to internal and external audits and enforcement actions relating to HR policies and practices. 

  • Respond to internal and external complaints, and complex, high-risk, or sensitive employee relations cases. 

  • Create communications, training materials, and other change management mechanisms to educate stakeholders throughout the company on new and revised policies, processes, and programs.

  • Identify and manage outside vendor partners to support scaling and provide niche/specialized support as needed 

  • Coach, develop, and lead a small team of compliance and employee relations experts

  • Partner with internal employment attorneys, internal investigative teams, and outside counsel as appropriate

  • Provide regular updates and analysis to Snap senior leadership and Snap Board of Directors


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and deep understanding of laws, regulations, and statutes related to employment, benefits, and HR compliance globally

  • Experience designing, creating, implementing, and managing employee relations processes and programs

  • Experience designing/implementing HR compliance and employee relations processes and systems that work at scale

  • Effective written and verbal communications skills in a fast-moving corporate environment

  • Demonstrated sound judgment when working through complex, confidential issues

  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Track record of hiring, developing, and managing a successful, high-performing team

  • Embodiment of our values of Smart, Kind, and Creative in all that you do and everyone you interact with


Minimum qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting HR compliance and employee relations efforts

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience


Preferred qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience supporting HR compliance, employee relations, and/or employment legal, at globally distributed organizations

  • Juris Doctor degree
