About the Role
As Head of HR Operations at Eleanor Health you will play both a strategic and hands-on role leading and facilitating the planning and day-to-day execution of core People Operations functions to create a truly outstanding experience for the Eleanor team in support of our mission. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), you will be responsible for driving operational excellence in the development and execution of Human Capital processes, policies, and programs that reinforce Eleanor’s dynamic culture and align to business goals. You will support informed decision making about organizational considerations through insightful reporting and analytics. In addition, you will oversee all HR related regulatory filings, maintenance of employee records and HRIS administration, and manage the vendor relationship with any PEO or outsourced partners. To be successful in this position you will need to bring deep expertise in HR laws and regulations, experience in designing efficient HR processes and operations and a talent for analyzing complex data and telling the business story as well as solving problems through the data.
Responsibilities
Policy & Process Development and Execution
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in Human Capital processes, compliance, and policies that enable Eleanor’s culture and performance as we scale
- Consult to determine user needs, reporting requirements, and areas where procedures need streamlining in a high-growth environment; provide recommendations for changes and improvements, and implement changes
- Develop and maintain employee handbooks and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures that ensure company policies are accurate, current, and in compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Data Reporting & Insights
- Oversee analysis of Human Capital data and develop presentations to communicate findings on metrics, trends, and variances
- Program manage employee surveys and the development of insights and action planning
- Develop and deliver scorecards and operating reports to help business leaders identify predictive trends and make effective business decisions regarding talent management
- Develop data for all HR planning cycles and business reporting needs
Compensation, Benefits Design and Administration
- Project manage the annual performance review and compensation review cycles, including budget approval, project timeline and overall execution
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and Business Partners to develop and maintain effective descriptions and role cards for all active positions and up to date compensation tables for all roles that align to company compensation philosophy
- Manage employee benefits including broker/vendor relationships, coordination of responses to general employee inquiries and invoice processing
- Manage flawless payroll execution in compliance with local regulations
HRIS, Employee Record Management and Compliance
- Proactively partner with PEO or Outsourced partners to ensure high quality of service and responsiveness consistent with Service Level Agreements
- Own all aspects of HRIS, including HR system data integrity, reporting, and management
- Ensure complete and accurate maintenance of employee files consistent with federal, state and local requirements; conduct periodic audits as required
- Work with market launch teams to assess people operations requirements and help complete registrations and other setup needed to begin employing in the market
- Work with PEO/Outsource provider to ensure all Company related administrative forms, reports, processes, filings (ACA, EEO-1, etc.) and audits are completed accurately, timely and in compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations for Benefits, HR Recordkeeping and audits and compliance
- Monitor regulatory developments to identify any necessary changes to processes, policies or practices
Project Management & Support
- Serve as the project leader for all new projects involving HR data, system changes, and implementation of new software
- Assist with the development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programs
- Lead and support cross-functional initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business management, HR, or related field, or combination of relevant work experience and education preferred
- Minimum 6+ years of professional HR experience including 3-5 years as a Head of HR Operations or similar role managing complex programs and projects with HR scope
- Strong preference for experience in helping a high growth business move off of
- Deep knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Super-user level expertise with Payroll and HRIS or HCM systems
- Strong process thinker with continuous improvement mindset and knowledge of best practices in managing efficient and effective HR processes and operations
- Proven ability to manage systems and extract, analyze and present data to solve complex business problems with superior insights
- Experienced project manager with ability to prioritize, scope, plan and drive project execution to achieve desired results
- Trusted relationship builder with strong consultative and partnering skills who is able to influence with and without authority, confidently, effectively, and collaboratively
- Excellent communicator with skills in cross-functional stakeholder management and ability to engage effectively across all levels of an organization
- Strong vendor management skills
- Experience in designing and administering compensation and benefits programs
- Experience working with IT and technical experts on systems changes and integrations
- Ability to manage ambiguity and independently, yet work collaboratively within a team environment and having fun while working smart
