Head of Infrastructure & Security
Chicago (Remote Optional)
As an accomplished technology leader, reporting to CTO (Chief Technology Officer), this is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, exciting company to provide direction, and governance to teams responsible for all aspects of our networking, computer, application infrastructure and security across our data center and cloud environments.
You Will:

• Oversee all infrastructure and information security processes, controls, performance metrics, and associated continuous improvement plans
• Establish standards for a hybrid infrastructure environment
• Oversee delivery of projects associated with modernizing our technology and improving the scale of our systems
• Facilitate project intake and prioritization with important partners, lead processes for supervising performance, planning and backlog management
• Co-develop the multi-year roadmaps for the technology areas within your responsibility
• Define/grow cyber security maturity culture and programs inclusive of assessments, frameworks, and prioritized improvements
• Establish/maintain strategic vendor relationships
• Define and oversee incident response plan
• Advise the leadership team on information security risks and own proactive mitigation plans
• Ensure critical IT services such as collaboration tools, data transfer services, and cloud services run at peak performance, with appropriate security patches
• Ensure uptime of important applications and systems using proper redundancy, monitoring, and proactive problem management/maintenance
• Work with engineering partners to establish DevOps processes & standards and CI/CD pipelines
• Develop clear and complete documentation related to Infrastructure and security
• Build a world class team, developing a culture of inclusivity and collaboration to ensure continuous development of team members

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent working experience
• 5+ years of experience in a relevant technical leadership role
• 10+ years of relevant technical expertise in a broad range of technologies; including servers, network, and cloud solutions with understanding of security, databases, storage, and communications
• Demonstrated experience developing an infrastructure technology roadmap
• Expertise in managing technical services across remote sites with matrix staffing models
• Understanding of security standards and architecture with the ability to incorporate those standard methodologies into technical solutions
• Experience with IT service management and industry trends
• Experience with cloud technologies and design principles with a focus on scale, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience with CI/CD technologies and concepts
• Experience with vulnerability and threat management assessments
• A collaborative nature and a focus on doing what is right for the customer and organization
