Head of Operations

Imagen enables Primary Care providers to become technology-enabled multispecialty practices, powering a successful transition from fee-for-service to value-based care. Imagen’s comprehensive platform includes in-office diagnostic testing, diagnostic interpretations powered by proprietary FDA-cleared machine learning software, and virtual specialist consults. Imagen’s platform empowers Primary Care providers to achieve healthcare’s quadruple aim of increasing quality, lowering costs, and improving the patient and provider experience. 

Imagen’s team includes over 100 clinical, technical, and business personnel. Imagen’s software has received first-of-its-kind FDA clearances, and its research has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals. Imagen has raised $135 million in capital from investors such as Google Ventures, Casdin Capital, and Threshold Ventures. Imagen was founded in 2015 and is based in New York City.

Imagen is looking for our senior most operating leader, accountable for the strategic vision, execution, and results across the footprint of our full operations – from our full-stack in-office platform deployed across the country, through to the internal operations that will be necessary to help us scale to the next stage of growth. In addition, you will play a key role in developing multi-year strategic plans for the company, as well as serving in a key partnership role with our Product Organization in developing and launching new and innovative care delivery programs. This role is a senior member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and Co-Founder. 

Responsibilities: 

• Strategy
• Co-develop multi-year strategic plans with the CEO and other executive team members. You are expected to be the key thought driver here to balance vision, business, and feasibility into a clear and focused plan. 
• Co-develop care delivery platform innovations (new products, services, capabilities) with the Chief Product Officer. You will provide a deep managed care perspective and expertise to help guide Imagen toward developing the most clinically-useful products for primary care and other risk-bearing entities. 
• Build cross-functional and company-level cohesion and followership around the company vision, strategy, and plan to achieve it. 
• Management and Leadership
• Define, hire and manage 5+ direct reports, and 50+ indirect reports; grow that organization by 100% year over year over the next three years. 
• Define and implement department role expectations, levels, and structure that mature the team for increased performance and predictability
• Inspire and motivate a cross-functional team with a variety of backgrounds, goals, and experiences
• Collaborate with and contribute to a high-performing executive team leading the company together
• Execution
• Develop and implement the high-performing operating playbook for Imagen’s core platform; ensure its ability to scale at Imagen’s different points of complexity and size 
• Launch new and innovative care delivery programs to improve patient care. You will be responsible for transitioning from an idea on a napkin or a working MVP to a program that repeatedly and reliably delivers a great experience and great outcomes for patients.  
• Ensure the business is running efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining a rich understanding of the financial levers in the business, and you will be responsible for driving changes to ultimately improve Imagen’s margin profile. 

Qualifications

• 10+ year track record in operations, with a particular focus on scaling growth-stage companies. 
• Prior roles as a senior operating executive, representing the department at the executive table, and being accountable for strategy, execution, and org. design and management. 
• Proven ability to motivate, manage and develop your own team, while also successfully influencing and leading others outside of reporting structure
• Experience setting and achieving strategic goals in fast-paced environments, and evolving organizational strategies based on data, industry trends, and sales
• Extremely rigorous standards and deep understanding of what good looks like
• Nice to have: 
• Strong interest and understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, with particular familiarity around the shift of the premium dollar away from high-cost care settings. 
• Build and scale experience in clinical delivery organizations
