VGS delivers a modern solution to collect, protect, and exchange sensitive data that spans from data privacy to payment acceptance and card issuance; providing businesses with tokenization, PCI compliance, data security, processor optionality, and the ability to operate on that data without compromising their security posture. VGS delivers a modern payments security solution that gives businesses ownership and control over critically valuable customer data, granting them maximum portability, operationally and value extraction to seamlessly drive expansion, and quickly build new financial products.
As the Head of People at Very Good Security, you will act as a strategic partner to our leadership team by owning the People functions (People Operations and Talent Acquisition) that support our fast-paced, evolving environment and our employee population. Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the leadership team, you will build and evolve people programs that align with business objectives and play a pivotal role in our growth. You will have the opportunity to autonomously build and evolve alongside an enthusiastically supportive leadership team, with the support of world class investors and advisors.

What will you be doing at VGS
- Partner with the senior leadership team to collaboratively set and execute on the long-term vision and strategy for key People initiatives.
- Build, evolve and champion core HR functions for scale in a remote-first environment, including talent management, learning and development, talent acquisition, diversity & inclusion, total rewards, culture-building, employee communications, manager enablement, organizational design and compliance, and performance management.
- Lead a talented group of People Operations and Talent Acquisition team members
- Serve as a champion for company culture and core values across the organization to ensure our culture thrives during growth.Â
- Develop strong partnership with CEO and leadership team, and collaborate on leadership of people-first and cutting edge People Operations initiatives.
What we are looking for from you (Requirements)
- Proven experience as a Head of People/HR or other HR Leadership role, working closely with leadership teams to build and scale a values-driven, high-performance team
- Experience helping a high-growth, tech-forward, fast-paced environment evolve People practices for scale and maturity
- Experience quickly and proactively diagnosing challenges and opportunities, strategizing solutions and implementing change
- Track record of mentoring, growing and developing talent into leadership
- Strong leadership skills with a high sense of urgency and proactive decision-making capabilities
- Experience developing People strategy and initiatives for a complex, global workforce
- Meaningful experience across all areas of HR, including total rewards, talent acquisition, manager enablement, compliance and employee relations, L&D, performance management, culture-building, and organizational design
- Proven success supporting an organization through evaluation and implementation of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging initiatives within a tech-forward organization
- Superb communication skills, business acumen, and coaching, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- A habit of thinking strategically and collaboratively so that People Operations appropriately scales to meet the growing business needs

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $200,000 - $xxx,xxx per year. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions.
