Head of Product, New Products

As Head of Product you will focus on leading the team that is working on emerging products at Tessera. This is a critical role in our company, as we aim to realize Tessera’s growth potential and utilize our assets to expand into new products and new customer types. This position will report into the VP of Product of Tessera, a Checkr company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong product background, experience working on zero-to-one product efforts, and scaling early product market fit. Background in Trust & Safety, Identity Verification/KYC, or Marketplaces is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the PMs working on motor vehicle records, identity, and Trust & Safety products.
• Identify and evaluate new opportunities, lead customer discovery, and partnerships to bring new products to market.
• Guide and prioritize the new product efforts based on multiple factors including a deep understanding of customer problems and needs, company strategy, competitive landscape, technical feasibility.
• Connect with customers and customer facing teams to understand user needs, develop insights and inform roadmap and development work
• Learn quickly about new spaces to enable informed decision making and achieve product-market fit.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, marketing, and GTM partners to build and take products to market effectively.
• Be a product expert and domain expert, participate in conferences, and meetings with customers and partners (including QBRs)
• Teach and mentor more junior PMs on the team on product practices and product thinking.
• Develop and maintain the product organization's policies and procedures to ensure consistent and effective product development and management practices
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the product organization

What you bring:

• 7+ years as a PM at a B2B Enterprise and/or SaaS company
• 3+ years of People Management leading, growing, and retaining high performing Product Managers
• Proven ability to manage project ambiguity, complexity and interdependencies in an organized and structured way
• Experience working on zero to one product efforts.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to be fly-high and fly-low in a high performance environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

If this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The salary range for this role is $148,899 to $309,025.
