About Scratchpad

At Scratchpad, our mission is to make salespeople happy. We believe we can do that by reducing complexity and creating delightful experiences, which has led us to pioneer the first workspace for revenue teams. We take the most tedious parts of daily work and turn them into efficient, delightful experiences that positively impact salespeople's professional and personal lives. But don’t take our word for it - read what our customers and top-tier investors are raving about.

Life at Scratchpad 💫

The Scratchpad team is defined by our values: simplicity, ideas, results, speed, delight, and feedback. We profoundly care about our customers, the work we do, and each other. You'll constantly be learning from your colleagues and challenged to do your best work. We believe it's part of what has made us successful as a "remote first" company.

As the Head of Strategic Finance and our first hire within this category, your mission will be to provide insights about the business that help us create better financial strategies and execute more effectively. You will regularly update forecasts and strategic plans based on changes in our business and externally in the market. This is an exciting opportunity to work across every business function, equipping each team with data and insights that improve their operations as well as capital efficiency as a whole. You’ll enjoy the task of identifying what breaks as we scale (and work as a team to solve for this). You will report directly to our CEO and are expected to work in west coast business hours.

  • Excellent communicator and team player - great verbal and written communicator who can translate data into narratives

  • Business partner - eager to support other org functions by acting as a strategic business partner, helping each department operate better

  • Strong financial literacy - able to help guide the company’s strategic financial decisions from building financial and operating models (including scenarios and capacity planning)

  • Analytical prowess - Knowledgeable in SaaS metrics and can deliver product and user level analytics, bonus for experience with bottom-up / PLG and enterprise sales motions.

Your Impact

  • Ensure we’re spending smart and planning strategically for the future via the creation of financial and operating plans. This ranges from setting budgets and bookkeeping to building projections and everything in between.

  • Provide insights to the rest of leadership based on your analysis of data across the business.

  • Create processes that power our efficiency. This involves developing procedures for approvals of purchases across the company as well as payroll and invoicing.

  • Develop strong partnerships with other teams and support their decision making with your data analytics. This includes:

    • People - headcount planning

    • Sales - capacity planning, sales efficiency

    • Marketing - ROI on initiatives, spend analysis

    • Product - usage and funnel metrics

Perks 🎁

  • Competitive salary and meaningful equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (with 80% premium coverage)

  • Paid parental leave

  • Flexible vacation

  • 401k with 4% company matching (and vests instantly!)

  • Stipend for home office

  • At least two in-person company offsites a year

  • Fully remote
