This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Remote Head of Utility Sales. This role plays a pivotal part in combating the wildfire crisis by leveraging advanced technologies in AI and IoT. You will engage with utility and energy organizations to drive sales initiatives and foster relationships, enhancing their capabilities to respond to fire threats effectively. This position is essential as the utility sector undergoes significant changes to address the impacts of climate change. Your expertise will help shape the commercial strategies that empower these organizations during critical moments. We seek a passionate individual who aims to innovate within a meaningful niche.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and manage a growing customer base for utility & energy accounts.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities.
  • Structure and negotiate new business relationships, including complex contracting processes.
  • Manage senior-level relationships with customers and key partners.
  • Ensure swift execution of new Pano Station installations during the pre-fire season.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess the competitive landscape and refine strategies.
  • Plan and execute sales tactics across various phases of the sales cycle.
  • Drive ongoing account management in partnership with Customer Success.
  • Requirements

  • 10+ years of technology sales experience, particularly in enterprise software and services.
  • 5+ years in outside sales or business development focused on the utility & energy sector.
  • Strategic thinking regarding utility & energy priorities and technical challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to navigate multi-stakeholder environments at the executive level.
  • Experience managing full sales cycles and consistently achieving sales goals.
  • Highly adaptive and competitive, with a strong organizational sense.
  • Passion for environmental issues or outdoor activities is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel at least 25%.
