MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides user access to email, EPIC and other Advocate Aurora Health applications based on requests submitted by users and user representatives. 
  • Directly involved with the timely suspension of application system and network access rights as necessary when appropriate termination notice is received. 
  • Participate in identification of security risks and exposures by participating in security reviews, evaluations and risk assessments.
  • Participate in root-cause analysis and solves complex end-user and system access problems.
  • Performs routine user access security data gathering and administration activities. Provide input to and support for the development, implementation and monitoring of all security access processes and procedures at all sites. 
  • Documents standards and procedures used to complete the duties of the Identity Management team and ensures documentation is regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Adheres to, communicates, and enforces Advocate Aurora Health's Security policies and standards.
  • Supports the identification of user access security risks and exposures. Supports monitoring of security access processes and procedures.
  • Assists with the execution of identity management projects.
  • Functions as a liaison between on-site HIT staff, Service Desk Analysts, Customer Support, system administrators and the security solutions team.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

License/Registration/Certification Required: None

Education Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or related field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of IT security, and access provisioning.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft products, specifically excel
  • Participate in department projects
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and manage complex tasks
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to advise and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Due to the dynamic nature of the information security threats and vulnerabilities, the incumbent will be expected to maintain a high level of current technical knowledge.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position requires travel, therefore, will be exposed to weather and road conditions.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to a normal office environment and/or Remote Work from Home.
