Your Role and Responsibilities

This role is critical to ensure HR processes adhere to relevant regulations protect sensitive information and maintain effective internal controls. It requires a good understanding of IBM’s Framework of Internal Controls and Data Privacy Requirements to be able to provide sound advice and appropriate guidance to various HR stakeholders in varying circumstances. It is ideal to have adequate knowledge of Corporate Instructions and other relevant policies plus a broad exposure to HR processes.

• Serve as Trusted Advisor to Process Owners in the areas of Business Controls and Data Privacy
• Assist Process Owners in resolving process controls issues compliance gaps or weaknesses and privacy risks as needed
• Provide advisory support to Process Owners on internal audits (based on reduced audit engagement model)
• Validate effectiveness of process controls and accuracy of privacy assessments as necessary
• Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations related to data privacy security and internal controls to ensure HR processes and policies comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Design and conduct enablement (education) sessions for supported teams to raise awareness of data privacy regulations internal controls and best practices
• Prepare and present regular reports to Process Owners and management on the status of data privacy and internal controls compliance.
• Execute testing of Key Controls over Financial Reporting (KCFR) or Key Controls over Operations (KCO)
• Perform independent process reviews as may be requested by the Process Owner
• Other tasks as may be required
