Job Description

Garner's mission is to transform the healthcare economy, delivering high quality and affordable care for all. By helping employers restructure their healthcare benefit to provide clear incentives and data-driven insights, we direct employees to higher quality and lower cost healthcare providers. The result is that patients get better health outcomes while doctors are rewarded for practicing well, not performing more procedures. We are backed by top-tier venture capital firms, are growing rapidly and looking to expand our team.

The HR Manager is responsible for ensuring our People programs provide an exceptional employee experience. In this role, you’ll be an advocate of Garner’s culture while developing and executing People processes spanning onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, benefits, compliance, and more.

The ideal candidate has a continuous improvement mindset, is a proactive and employee-centric problem-solver, and has the ability to drive projects from idea to execution. You are excited about the opportunity to build strong, authentic relationships and act as a trusted partner to employees and leadership.

Garner is headquartered in NYC, but this position is also open for remote individuals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and improve core People processes across the employee experience such as compensation planning, performance management, onboarding / offboarding, and employee engagement.
  • Consult with leaders and managers to provide fair and consistent advice on HR programs, policies, and benefits.
  • Partner on change management challenges and complex employee matters, including driving investigations.
  • Maintain our current HRIS, and support the development and implementation of our HR technology roadmap.
  • Partner with our Legal team to support rollout of compliance programs.

Ideal candidate has:

  • 3-5 years of experience as HR business partner or generalist in a high-growth company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of best practices across the HR function with a proven track record of innovation in people practices, culture, and team effectiveness.
  • Experience with people data analytics; ability to tell stories with data.
  • Experience advising executive leadership on employee matters.
  • Experience building and scaling people processes in a fast moving, high-growth environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience.

The salary range for this position is: $110,000 - $135,000. Compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.

If you are hired, we may require proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement, in accordance with applicable law.
