Human Resources Intern

The Basics: 
The Human Resources Operations Intern will contribute to the broader HR and Talent Acquistion teams by supporting critical people operations activities. This candidate will have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, work effectively across teams, possess great communication skills, and enjoy the challenges of helping build and implement programs to drive team member and candidate experience.  

The position can be located anywhere in the continental United States.  

 The hourly rate for this internship is $25. This hourly rate is an estimate for what Tanium will pay an intern. The actual rate offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, education, skills, training, and experience. In addition to an hourly rate, interns will be eligible for 401k matching and a monthly allowance for communications reimbursement.   

What you'll do: 

• Support new hire onboarding activities, including processing new hires through the HR system and shadowing new hire orientation  
• Review current processes and suggest changes, improvements and/or automation  
• Assist with compliance tasks including Applicant Tracking System audits, quarterly document retention and file management procedures, and processing I-9’s  
• Identify opportunities for improving scheduling efficiency and candidate experience 
• Support referral tracking and swag distribution 
• Work cross-functionally to support and gain exposure to other HR functions such as Recruiting, Total Rewards, and Enablement functions 

We’re looking for someone who is: 

• Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future 
• Available to work full-time from June 10, 2024 to August 16, 2024 
• A currently enrolled bachelor's degree candidate, ideally with a 3.5+ GPA 
• Graduating Spring 2025 or Fall 2024   
• Exceptional at interpersonal, verbal, and written communication 
• Self-driven and creative with the passion to go above and beyond 
• Strong in attention to detail and acts with high integrity  
• Fluent in applications such as Microsoft Office and other collaboration tools
