The project scope will be designed to be achievable within the expected duration and total number of hours of the internship. At the conclusion of the project the supervisor will conduct an assessment of the quality completeness and usefulness of the work. Executing the project will provide the incumbent with the opportunity to gain practical knowledge of analytic applications in industries utilizing consumer credit data including potentially having direct participation in actual customer projects.

Our Summer Internship Program will allow you to use & develop the skills you've learned in school while participating in engaging events such as: career development workshops networking events and guest speakers throughout this paid 12-week internship beginning in May 18 2026 or June 15 2026 depending on academic calendar.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
Must be graduating by June 2028 or earlier and currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in data science statistics mathematics engineering operations research economics or a related quantitative field.
Must be graduating by June 2028 or earlier and currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in information systems computer science analytics or business with technical coursework.
Experience with Big Data Technologies including Apache Hadoop Hive Spark Python etc.
Experience writing SQL queries.
Strong written language skills and familiarity with technical documents such as data dictionaries and process flow diagrams. Able to write instructions and procedural documentation.
This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week
Required Knowledge and Experiences
Assist with development and analysis of identity data using advanced data science techniques. Help develop data quality measurement techniques.
Assist with developing a user interface geared towards hundreds of data scientists who are using the Big Data platform in finding various data assets and other capabilities within the platform.
Produce operational dashboards and reports to manage this critical Big Data platform.
Update and maintain internal web pages to track and report on data assets.
Maintain data dictionaries and prepare documentation of data analyses performed.
Analyze and evaluating new data assets TransUnion is interested in.
