Summary of the role:

The intern will assist in managing and growing the Amadeus Immigration Americas programs and will provide a broad range of support, including support and service to team members; administering immigration processes; advising and directing third party service providers; as well collaborating with HR Business Partners and Managers and employees to ensure effective immigration programs in the Americas.

In this role you'll:

• Assist in providing immigration assessments to HR Business Partner and hiring manager and Global Mobility Manager.
• Assist the Immigration manager on developing an internal understanding of the work permit process and eligibility requirements for transferring employees to various locations throughout the Americas.
• Assist in managing document collection, monitoring deadlines, and case tracking.
• Assist in updating internal teams and candidate on visa approval and next steps.
• Assist in reviewing and maintaining visa expiration report.
• Assist Amadeus employees on global business visas issuance.
• Assist in communicating with employees and other relevant stakeholders regarding the status of ongoing immigration cases, as well as employment authorization documents and documents required for international travel.
• Assist in working with external immigration counsel to submit case filings with the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and U.S. Department of Labor (and other applicable government agencies) and to create and maintain public access files in accordance with U.S. Department of Labor requirements.
• Assist in educating and advising human resources business partners, managers, recruiters, candidates for sponsorship and employees on immigration and mobility requirements, processes and matters.
• Partner with HR, Legal and outside immigration counsel to ensure compliance with immigration laws and requirements.
• Keep abreast of U.S. immigration updates and trends in order develop and iterate solutions to business- related immigration challenges.
