The Job
You will own the sales activities in your geographic territory of our instruments, plus their associated consumables and service items. You will determine how to best achieve and exceed the quota for the territory, working with colleagues and support resources as needed. You will develop and support sales channels in formulate growth strategy, qualify leads, prospect, and meet with customers to understand their challenges. You will also provide business reviews and forecasts for the territory and collaborate with other go-to-market colleagues to ensure customer feedback is heard within the organization.
Roles and responsibilities
- Reporting to Asia Commercial Vice President
- Generate Indian subcontinent business via current channels, prospecting, customer research, customer collaboration, develop new channels, referrals, etc.
- Explore business opportunity from existing accounts, new product lines and expand new sales territories
- Provide monthly business update, quarterly order forecast, quarterly and annual business review meetings with regional and global leaders
- Provide support in customer service through collaboration with local distributors to resolve client issues quickly and efficiently
- Collaborate with Marketing, Application, Service, Operation, Ordering & Logistic stakeholders for process improvements to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth business operations
- Participate in global account management for HQ to ensure efficiency, best practice sharing, expertise sharing and innovation
- Evaluate need for additional resource to support further business growth in the region
- Complies to sales operation processes and company policies of different functions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related science field
- At least 10 years’ experience in the life sciences tools industry
- Demonstrated track record of sales performance and exceeding quota
- With sales leadership and channel distribution management experience
- Able to work independently in the sales territories with customers and channel partners
- Domestic and international travels are needed
