Information Security Analyst

The primary purpose of this position is to help coordinate and report on cyber incidents impacting clients. This position involves critical duties and responsibilities that must continue to be performed during crisis situations and contingency operations, which may necessitate extended hours of work. This position will complete tasks and projects designed to ensure security of the organization's systems and infrastructure assets. Protects against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. Works with end users to determine needs of individual departments, implements policies or procedures, and tracks awareness and training through the organization.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of advanced IT skills with high level of information security experience and expertise
• Knowledge of information security risk management frameworks and compliance practices.
• Knowledge of securing network technologies, client, and server operating systems.
• Ability to develop security standards and guidelines based on best practices and industry standards
• Experience responding to, analyzing, and communicating information security incidents
• 5 years of planning and managing security projects
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, including formal report writing experience
• Must be well versed in incident response frameworks and methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field
• Information security experience in higher education or state/local government
• Skills in project management, documenting risk, and compliance activities
• Information security related training or certifications, such as Security + and CEH, or GCIH
• Experience performing information investigations
• Experience with Tenable.io is preferable
• Must have an understanding of company policy development and dissemination
