As the Information Security Manager at AffiniPay, you will be responsible for working with the VP of Information Security in the day-to-day execution of security strategic initiatives across the entire organization.  As a leader in both the LegalTech and fintech industries including a payment platform that processes over $18 billion annually, it is imperative that our network, applications, end-user devices and environments have the proper security controls in place.  The Information Security Manager will be responsible for ensuring this is done so that our employees and users have the confidence and AffiniPay remains the highly reputable company that it is today. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures to protect information and network infrastructure and computer systems.
  • Develop & maintain up to date documentation for all security requirements/procedures & tools.
  • Design tactical security strategy and engineering comprehensive cybersecurity architecture.
  • Identify, define, and document system security requirements and recommend solutions to management.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain security infrastructure software.
  • Actively involved in the selection and/or creation of security tools for monitoring, profiling, logging, reporting and security checking.
  • Assist in Monitor systems for irregular behavior and set up preventive measures.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and update the company’s information security strategy.
  • Educate and train staff in information system security best practices.
  • Stay up to date on new security tools & techniques in the information security space.
  • Conduct in-depth technical reviews of enterprise systems to identify the appropriate mitigation strategies required to bring these systems into compliance with established policy and industry guidelines.
  • Contribute to building CI/CD pipelines incorporating security scans.
  • Provide security training, mentoring, and coaching to developers.
  • Work as a liaison between application & Infrastructure teams to design/architect systems to protect against threats.

 About You

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent additional working experience
  • 5+ years of experience working as a System Security Engineer or related position
  • Proven experience developing, operating, and maintaining security systems in a similarly sized organization.
  • Knowledge and experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS, AZURE, GCP)
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, technology, and processes to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in networking technologies, network security and network monitoring solutions
  • Familiar with various security architectures and methodologies (Defense in Depth, Kill-Chain, NIST, Critical Controls, OWASP, PCI etc.) 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the proven ability to find creative solutions to cyber security problems.
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and principles.
  • Experience working with Auditors in support of PCI, SOC, and other audit frameworks.
  • Works well in a self-directed environment, strong time management skills and comfortable working independently.
  • Present complex, technical information to a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical, in writing and verbal formats.
  • Security certification such as CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, GSEC, SSCP or other relevant certifications in information security is required.

Additional Information

The minimum annual salary for this position is $125,000 and the maximum is $175,000. The salary range for performing this role outside of the US / Austin / California may differ.  AffiniPay is committed to offering competitive, fair and commensurate compensation and has provided an estimated pay range for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and education.
